At the DIA China Annual Meeting 2026 in Shanghai, Prof Shirley Xue Li delivered a presentation on the role of real-world evidence (RWE) in supporting reimbursement decision-making in Hong Kong. Drawing on experiences from the SCAN-2030 initiative, she shared lessons on integrating RWE into evidence generation and health technology assessment processes across the healthcare lifecycle. The session highlighted practical applications of local electronic health record data and real-world analytics to support value assessment, address evidence gaps, and strengthen evidence-informed healthcare decision-making in Hong Kong.
